Brown Athletics Announces Winter Sports Broadcast & Promotions Schedules

PROVIDENCE, RI - Brown University Athletics has announced the Bears' extensive winter sports broadcast schedule. The slate continues this weekend with live audio and video coverage of the women's ice hockey games against St. Lawrence and Clarkson and will proceed throughout the winter with live broadcasts of home games for Brown gymnastics, men's and women's ice hockey, men's and women's basketball and wrestling.

790 WPRV-AM will provide live radio coverage of all men's basketball home and away regular and post-season games along with five men's ice hockey home games. Each game broadcast will feature pre- and post-game shows and will also be streamed live via the internet. Scott Cordischi will resume his role as the men's basketball play-by-play announcer, and Mike Rubin will have the call during the men's ice hockey broadcasts. Through their partnership with B2 Networks, Brown will once again provide internet video streaming of home games for gymnastics, men's and women's ice hockey, men's and women's basketball and wrestling. Live video coaches shows and select road games complete the B2 Networks offerings. A number of pay-per-view options are available, ranging from All-Sports, Ice Hockey, and Basketball Passes to single event passes. Fans may also access audio-only internet broadcasts at no cost.

Planned promotional events include team poster and autograph nights, the 2nd Annual Cancer Awareness Week (February 6-14, 2009), ice hockey "Chuck-A-Puck", t-shirt and piggy bank giveaways, double-header basketball and ice hockey days, BrowNation events, dads & daughters and "holla for a dolla" ticket promotions, and much more.
