Freshman Sean Hurley (Rutland, VT) of the Brown men's ice hockey team was honored with a spot on the ECACHL All-Rookie Team following his successful first season on the blue-line.
An Honorable Mention All-Ivy selection, Hurley made an immediate impact on the Bears' blueline, which featured three freshmen and only one senior. He led all defensemen and rookies in scoring with 21 points (3g, 18a), which ranked fourth overall on the team. His 21 points is also the most ever by a freshman defenseman at Brown, surpassing John Slonim's '81 20 points in the 1977-78 campaign.
The Bears finished the season with a 16-14-3 record, earning their second season in the past three years with at least 16 wins, and their third straight winning season.
