For the fourth time this season, Brown University junior Yann Danis (Saint-Jerome, QUE) was honored as the ECAC Goaltender of the Week (2/17) after going 1-0-1 in a weekend series with #2 Cornell and Colgate.
Danis earned 2nd Star recognition in a 2-2 overtime tie with Cornell as he stopped a game-high 44 shots, including all 14 in the first period and all seven in overtime.
The next night, Danis helped the Bears fight back from a 2-0 deficit to defeat Colgate 5-2 with a 28-save effort. After allowing two goals in the first five minutes of the game, Danis stopped every shots he faced from that point on as Brown gained its first lead of the game early in the second period.

Currently, he has a 2.49 goals against average, fifth in the ECAC, and a .917 save percentage, fourth in the league. In addition, he has helped the Bears' team defense, which stands at 2.50, to rank 10th in the country.
Brown, which has an 11-10-3 overall record and a 9-7-2 ECAC mark will travel to Vermont and Dartmouth for a pair of crucial league games. The Bears are in a three-way tie with Union and Dartmouth for fourth place with 20 points, while Vermont stands alone in eighth place with 14 points.
