PROVIDENCE, RI - Sophomore Yann Danis (Lafontaine, QUE) stopped 31 shots, while classmate Brent Robinson (Pointe Claire, QUE) scored a goal and added an assist, in leading Brown (9-11-2) to a 3-1 win over Dartmouth (10-9-2), on Saturday evening at Brown's Meehan Auditorium.
The Big Green got on the board just 14 seconds into the contest, however, it was all Brown from that point on as the Bears used three goals in an 11 minute span to defeat the visitors.
Junior Keith Kirley (Leverett, MA) scored a power play goal at 3:34 of the first to get Brown on the board. Classmate Tye Korbl (Goffstown, NH) and sophomore Vince Macri (Durham, NH) each earned assists on the play.
Robinson scored the winning goal at 11:24 of the first, also on the power play, with Macri and sophomore Scott Ford (Fort St. John, BC) earning assists on the goal.
Just three minutes later, at 14:26, junior Chris Legg (London, ONT) scored on a break away to give Brown a two-goal cushion heading into the second period. Robinson and Ford assisted this goal, each finishing with two points, in addition to Macri.
Currently in a four-way tie for 8th place in the ECAC, Brown will host Vermont in a critical league contest at 7:00 p.m. tomorrow in Meehan.
