Adam Saunders made fast improvements in his sophomore campaign and immediately stepped in as one of the top scorers on the team. He will again be looked upon to add offensive production for the Bears.

2001-2002: Saunders played in 30 of 31 games, nearly tripling his point totals from his rookie season ... Finished as the sixth-leading scorer on the team with 8-7-15 numbers, including three power-play goals ... He had a low six penalty minutes and tallied 5-6-11 totals in ECAC contests ... Notched his first goal of the season on the power-play at Dartmouth ... Had a career-high four points (2-2) at Vermont the next night to lead Brown to a 5-1 win ... Scored his fourth goal of the season against Harvard ... Tallied his second goal in as many games, a power play goal to give Brown an early 1-0 lead at Wisconsin ... Scored a goal and added an assist in the championship game of the BOBS in Wisconsin, his third straight game with a goal ... Added an assist against Yale ... Scored his seventh goal of the year at Providence to tie the game at 3-3 late in the third, forcing overtime ... Added an assist on the game-winning goal in 3-2 win over Vermont ... 2000-2001: Played in 26 of 29 games for the Bears, including every game from November 24 - March 3 and played regularly on Brown's third line with classmates Shane Mudryk and Brent Robinson ... Finished the season with 2-4-6 totals, all of which were scored in ECAC contests ... Also had a +2 rating and a team-low two penalty minutes ... Tallied his first collegiate point with an assist at Clarkson ... Scored first career goal at Yale, the lone Brown goal of the game ... Added an assist against Cornell ... Amassed three points in final four games of the season, scoring a goal at Union to get Brown on the board as the Bears game back from a 2-0 deficit to earn a 2-2 tie ... Added an assist in each of the last two games of the season, against Princeton and Yale.

Before Brown: Saunders came to Brown after playing with the Estevan Bruins of the SJHL. Saunders was named team MVP and led the team in scoring with 33 goals and 35 assists in 60 games. Named to the Junior All-Star team, Saunders was also a Midget All-Star and team scoring leader. He helped lead the Bruins to the 1998-99 SJHL Championship title. Also ran track for two years in high school and was a member of the honor roll all four years of high school.
