An all-around defenseman, Jeremy Russell made an immediate impact as a freshman in 2006-2007, playing in all 32 games and leading the Class of 2010 with 14 points (3g, 11a), while logging significant special teams minutes. He missed all of last season with an injury suffered in the fall, but is expected to be a big boost to the Bears' defensive corps, which lost three valuable members to graduation.
