Before Brown: Meech played with the Burnaby Bulldogs of the BCHL from 1999-2001. The team Rookie of the Year in 1999-2000, he finished the season with 23 goals and 20 assists in 60 games, while earning a spot on the league All-Rookie Team. Last season, Meech tallied 27 goals with 39 assists in 60 games in helping lead his team to a Mainland Division Championship. Prior to his time with the Bulldogs, Meech played for one season with the Ridge Meadows Flames of the PIJHL where he earned Rookie of the Year and MVP honors in 1998-1999, finishing the season with 18 goals and 44 assists in 41 games.
