Men’s Hockey Hosts Bentley Wednesday Night

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown men's hockey team will play the first of five straight non-conference games on Wednesday when the Bears play host to Bentley at 7 PM. Links to live video and live stats will be available at www.brownbears.com.

Last Time Out
Brown scored four unanswered goals to rally for a comeback overtime win at RPI on Saturday, 5-4. Brown faced a three-goal deficit midway through the third period, but the Bears rattled off three goals within a 5:26 span to force overtime, before Tim Lappin scored at 1:35 of OT to complete the comeback. Tommy Marchin recorded his second career hat trick and added one assist for a career-high four points. Chris Berger scored his first career goal on the game-tying tally and added two assists for the three-point night. Max Gottlieb had two assists. 

Scouting Bentley
Bentley heads into Wednesday's contest on a four-game winning streak with victories over Robert Morris, UMass Lowell and American International. Kyle Schmidt and Matt Riggleman are tied for the team lead in scoring with 12 points apiece. Riggleman also leads the Falcons with nine assists and Jonathan Desbians has a team high six goals. Jayson Argue and Aidan Pelino have split time in net this season. Pelino has started the last four games and enters Wednesday at 4-3-0 with a 3.52 goals-against average and a .886 save percentage. Bentley is averaging 2.73 goals per game and checks in at 24.3 percent on the power play. 

Brown vs. Bentley All-Time
Brown and Bentley will meet for the second-ever matchup on Wednesday. Bentley won the first and only contest during the 2009-10 season, 3-2. 

Common Opponents
Brown and Bentley have played just one common opponent this season. Brown topped Holy Cross at home, while the Falcon lost a pair of games to the Crusaders, including one in overtime.
