PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown men's hockey team will close out the home part of the regular season this weekend when the Bears play host to Dartmouth on Friday and No. 3 Harvard on Saturday. Links to live video and live stats will be available at

Last Time Out
Brown dropped a pair of games on the road last weekend, falling at Colgate, 2-1, and No. 12 Cornell, 5-3. In the first game, Colgate scored in the final minute of regulation to break a 1-1 tie and secure the win. Trey Dodd and Sam Lafferty scored consecutive goals against Cornell to trim the deficit to one, but the Big Red answered at 6:56 in the third to prevent the comeback. Lafferty scored twice over the weekend and Dodd had 1-1-2 against Cornell. Senior captain Andrew Doane notched the other goal for the Bears against the Big Red. 

Scouting Dartmouth
Dartmouth split a pair of home games last weekend with a win over Rensselaer, 2-1, and a loss to Union, 8-3. Troy Crema leads the team and ranks fifth in the ECAC with 15 goals and also paces the lineup with 24 points, five power-play goals and four game winners. Will Graber leads the team with 12 assists and ranks second with 16 points. Devin Buffalo is 8-11-3 with a 2.99 goals-against average and a .905 save percentage. As a team, Dartmouth is averaging 2.68 goals per game and is 3-8-1 on the road this season. 

Brown vs. Dartmouth All-Time
When Brown plays Dartmouth on Friday, it will mark the 155th meeting in the rivalry between the two teams, dating back to 1927-28. Dartmouth leads the all-time series by an 81-66-8 margin. Brown claimed the first meeting of the season, 4-3, when Andrew Doane scored the game winner in overtime, marking the team's first win in Hanover since the 2007-08 season. 

Scouting Harvard
No. 3 Harvard is unbeaten over the last eight games, including six straight wins, and most recently downed Boston University, 6-3, on Monday in the Beanpot Championship. Harvard has six players with at least 20 points, lead by Alexander Kerfoot and Sean Malone with 31 and 30 points, respectively. Ryan Donato leads the team with 16 goals and rookie defenseman Adam Fox is third in the conference with 25 assists. Harvard owns the top scoring offense in the ECAC with 4.04 goals per game and the top power play at 26.2 percent. 

Brown vs. Harvard All-Time
Brown and Harvard have met 171 times, with the Crimson leading the all-time series, 112-46-13. Brown won the very first meeting between the two schools in the oldest active collegiate hockey rivalry, winning 6-0, in 1898 on a flooded baseball field in Dorchester, Mass. Harvard won the first meeting of the season, 3-0. 

Short Streak
Sam Lafferty scored his second shorthanded goal of the season at Cornell last weekend, giving the Bears their fourth shorty in the last six games.

The Bears will wrap up the regular season next weekend at Princeton (2/24) and Quinnipiac (2/25).
