  • Men’s Hockey to Play in “Friendship Four” Tournament in Belfast This November

    Boston Mayor Martin J. Walsh today joined Councillor Arder Carson, Lord Mayor of Belfast, Northern Ireland and representatives from the hockey community to announce “The Friendship Four,” an international hockey tournament in Belfast from November 27 - November 28, 2015 featuring hockey teams from Northeastern University, UMass Lowell, Brown University and Colgate University competing for the Belpot Trophy.
  • Men’s Hockey’s Lamacchia Inks ATO with ECHL’s Greenville Road Warriors

    Senior Massmimo Lamacchia (Maple, Ontario) of the Brown men’s hockey team has signed an amateur tryout (ATO) agreement with the ECHL’s Greenville Road Warriors, announced Wednesday by the organization. Greenville is the ECHL affiliate of the NHL's New York Rangers.

    Senior Matt Harlow (Bridgewater, Mass.) of the Brown men’s hockey team has signed an amateur tryout (ATO) agreement with the ECHL’s Elmira Jackals, announced Saturday by the organization.

    Senior Matt Lorito (Oakville, Ontario) of the Brown men’s hockey team has signed an amateur tryout (ATO) agreement with the AHL’s Albany Devils, announced by General Manager Chris Lamoriello Friday afternoon.
  • Harvard Edges Men’s Hockey, 4-3, to Take Series

    Junior Nick Lappin (Geneva, Ill.) scored a pair of goals, but the Brown men’s hockey team’s comeback from a three-goal deficit fell just short, as the Bears fell to No. 19 Harvard, 4-3, in game two of the ECAC First Round Saturday at the Bright-Landry Center.

    Senior Matt Lorito (Oakville, Ontario) and junior Nick Lappin (Geneva, Ill.) both scored for the Bears, but it was not enough to climb back from a four-goal deficit, as the Brown men’s hockey team fell to sixth-seeded Harvard, 6-2, in game one of the ECAC First Round Friday at the Bright-Landry Center.

    Senior Matt Lorito (Oakville, Ontario) scored a pair of first-period goals, but Colgate responded with three tallies in the third period as the Brown men’s hockey team fell to the Raiders, 4-2, on Senior Day in Saturday afternoon’s regular season finale at Meehan Auditorium.

    Senior Matt Lorito struck twice this afternoon, but it wasn't enough as Brown Men's Hockey fell to Colgate on Senior Day, 4-2. The Bears will head into ECAC postseason play as the #11 seed next weekend.

    Sophomore Zack Pryzbek (Niagara on the Lake, Ontario) registered a pair of goals and sophomore Tim Ernst (Pickering, Ontario) stopped 29 shots as the Brown men’s hockey team tied Cornell, 3-3, in Friday evening’s ECAC Hockey and Ivy League contest at Meehan Auditorium.

    Brown Men's Hockey held on to tie Cornell, 3-3 in OT on Friday evening at Meehan Auditorium. Sophomore Zack Pryzbek lead the Bears with two goals, with freshman Tim Lappin earning an assist on each of Pryzbek's goals.     Brown got goals from four different players as the Bears took down the Princeton Tigers at Hobey Baker Arena in Princeton, NJ. Tyler Bird, Nick Lappin, Mark Naclerio and Sam Lafferty all got on the board for Brown. The Bears travel to Quinnipiac tomorrow to face the #11 ranked Bobcats.

    Despite an early goal by Rensselaer, the Brown men’s hockey team answered right back with three consecutive tallies and held the lead the rest of the way, as the Bears downed the Engineers, 6-3, in Friday evening’s ECAC contest at Houston Field House.
