PROVIDENCE, RI - Senior men's hockey standouts Bobby Farnham (North Andover, MA) and Mike Clemente (Great Falls, VA) have both signed Amateur Tryout Agreements with the AHL's Providence Bruins.The duo recently completed their respective four-year careers with the Brown men's hockey team.
A 23-year old assistant captain, Farnham tallied a career-high 21 points on 8 goals and 13 assists in 31 games. In four years, Farnham totaled 54 points (23g, 31a) and 128 penalty minutes. His 129 career games ranks second all-time at Brown. A three-time ECAC All-Academic honoree, Farnham was nominated for both the Hockey Humanitarian Award and the Derek Hines Unsung Hero Award.
A 22-year old goalie, Clemente posted a four-year record of 32-54-14, while playing in 107 career games, a Brown record for games played by a goalie. This season, Clemente posted a 2.68 goals against average (7th all-time at Brown) and a .907 save percentage. His 2,954 career saves are second all-time at Brown, while his 3.03 GAA is 5th and his .908 save percentage is 4th. A three-time selection to the ECAC All-Academic Squad, Clemente was a semi-finalist for the Walter Brown Award this year.
The P-Bruins' roster is comprised of 27 players, including 15 forwards, eight defensemen and three goaltenders.
The P-Bruins open this weekend at The Dunk against the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins on Friday night at 7:05 p.m.
