Bears Host AIC Tuesday at 7:00

Currently in the midst of a three-game non-league stretch, all against teams from Atlantic Hockey, Brown hosts American International on Tuesday and will travel to Holy Cross on Saturday. Tonight's game against AIC will be the ninth meeting between the two teams all-time and the first since 2009-10 when Brown earned a 5-2 win over the Yellow Jackets. Following Saturday's game at Holy Cross, Brown will close out its first semester with a home-and-home series against its travel partner, Yale. The teams play in New Haven on December 1st and face off in Providence on December 3rd.  

This Date Historically Speaking: All-time, Brown is 2-5-0 in games played on November 22nd, including a 1-2-0 record in home games. Brown's last home game played on November 22nd was a 7-6 loss to Yale in 1991, head coach Brendan Whittet's sophomore year.

Last Time Out: The Bears fired a season-high 54 shots on net on Saturday night at Army, but scored just one goal, as the teams played to a 1-1 tie. With both teams skating four players, senior Bobby Farnham gave Brown a 1-0 lead midway through the second period with his second goal of the year. Senior Jack Maclellan and sophomore Matt Wahl posted their team-leading fourth assists of the season. Army would tie the score with 4:32 left in the period, converting on the power play. Senior Mike Clemente stopped 18 shots in net. 

Brown vs. AIC: Brown leads the all-time series with American International by an 8-0-0 margin, winning the most recent meeting by a 5-2 margin on December 8, 2009. The series began during the 1948-49 season, with Brown earning a 10-5 victory at AIC. After playing three straight games in Springfield, the two teams first met in Providence during the 1962-63 season, a 15-1 Brown win. Tuesday's game marks the sixth straight meeting in Providence for the two squads. Senior Jack Maclellan leads all Brown players with three points (1g, 2a) in one game, while senior Jeff Buvinow and junior Chris Zaires have one goal in one game. 

Scouting AIC: The Yellow Jackets enter Tuesday's game following a pair of ties against AHA competition; 2-2 against UConn and 3-3 against Army. AIC is currently led by a trio of players - Steve Mele, Jon Puskar, and Michael Penny - with nine points each, while Adam Pleskach adds six points. Mele also leads the team with two power play goals, while Pleskach leads the team with two short-handed goals. Ben Meisner has played the majority of time in net for AIC and has posted a 2.97 GAA with a .921 save percentage in 11 games (2-7-2). Ryan Kerpan has played in one contest and has a 4.02 GAA and an .846 save percentage.
