Tickets on Sale for ECAC Championship; Athletics Department to Sponsor Student Fan Bus

PROVIDENCE, RI – Fresh off their ECAC Quarterfinal series win over top-seeded and sixth-ranked Yale, the Brown men’s ice hockey team (12-19-4, 7-12-4) is set to travel to Albany, NY for the 2010 ECAC Championship presented by Bank of America and the Hilton Garden Inn at Albany Medical Center. The Bears, who upset sixth-seeded RPI in the First Round, will face second-seeded and ninth-ranked Cornell (19-8-4, 14-5-3) at 4:00 p.m. in Friday’s semifinals at the Times Union Center. The winner will advance to Saturday’s Championship game, to be played at 7:00 p.m.  against the winner of the Union-St. Lawrence game.

Brown’s ticket office has the Bears’ allotment of tickets, to be sold from now until Wednesday at 5:00 p.m. Fans wishing to purchase tickets for the Championship can do so by calling the Brown ticket office at 401-863-2773 Prices are $24 for each session (both games) each day and are $14 for students with an ID.

Once again, Brown will sponsor a student-only fan bus for Friday’s game. Tickets are $25 and will include the $14 game ticket. To reserve your spot on the bus, you must appear in person at the Brown ticket office between now and Wednesday, March 17th, at 5:00 p.m. with a valid Brown student ID. The bus will depart the Pizzitola Center parking lot promptly at 11:00 a.m. Friday morning and return to Providence following the game.
