With One Round Remaining, Bears 8th At Ivy Championship

Northfield, New Jersey - The Bears took two shots off their first round score with a four-man 300 on Saturday, and are 8th overall heading into Sunday's final round at the Ivy League Men's Golf Championship at the par-72 Atlantic City Country Club.

Penn hold a narrow two-shot lead over Dartmouth at 571, with the Big Green at 573, followed by Columbia (574), Princeton (580), Yale (583), Harvard (588), Cornell (594) and Brown (602).

Senior co-captains Chris Hoffman and Conor Malloy were at the head of the class on Saturday with each shooting two-over 73 to pace the Bears and post a two round 150.

Sophomore Michael Amato continued his outstanding play, adding a five over 75 to go with his first round 71, good for 16th place individually.

Senior Joe Rued also scored for the Bears, shooting 79 on day two. Junior John Giannuzzi shot 83 on day two to stand at 160.

The final round of the Ivy Championship will be held on Sunday, April 26, with the Bears starting at 7:30 a.m.
