Hargrove Holds Individual Lead; Bears Fifth At Ivy Championship

Springfield, N.J. -  Heading into Sunday's final round of the Ivy League Golf Championship played at the par 70 Baltusrol Golf Club, Brown is fifth overall and senior Nelson Hargrove is tied for the individual lead with a 36-hole 142.

 

Playing at Baltusrol's lower course, Hargrove has shot 70-72—142, two over par for 36-holes, to help the Bears to a team score of 606 (311-295).  He is tied with Cornell's Carl Schimenti, who shot 72-70—142.

 

Senior Peter Callas turned in a strong second round, shooting 73 for a 36-hole 153, good for 26th place individually.  Junior Justin Miller shot 75 on day two for a 154 score, while freshman Chad Carlson also shot 75 on Saturday for a 36-hole 158.  Sophomore Jack Wilson carded 79-80—159.

 

The championship will be decided with 18 holes on Sunday with Brown's first tee-off time at 9:12 am.
