Men’s Golf Falls To Pepperdine, 6-1

Simi Valley, CA - Brown opened its 2014 spring golf season on the West Coast, falling to Pepperdine, 6-1, in a match played at par 74, 6,972-yard the Wood Ranch Golf Club. The Bears will continue their Spring Trip on Thursday with a round at the L.A. Country Club in Los Angeles.


Playing against Pepperdine's top lineup, Brown senior Kyohei Itamura was the lone Brown winner, earning a 1-up victory over Waves' freshman Robin Kang.  Senior Nelson Hargrove pushed Pepperdine's Jeremy Sanders, a two-time US Amateur qualifier, before falling 4&2.


Brown returns to the Northeast and will play again at the Met Invitational on April 5 at the Century Club in Purchase, New York.
