Princeton, NJ - With perfect weather conditions, the scores were low at the Princeton Invitational, played at the par 71, 6,390 yard Springdale Golf Club. Brown placed 11th overall in its first appearance in the tournament with a 54-hole score of 905, on rounds of 302-302-301.
Yale took home the team title with a three-round 858, nosing out Georgetown (859) by a shot. Columbia placed third (860) followed by host Princeton (867), Penn (874), Dartmouth (874), Cornell (896), Temple (899), Princeton B (904), Brown (905), Rutgers (913), St. Joseph's (914) and Rider (939).
Freshman Justin Miller once again paced the Bears with a 54-hole 222 on rounds of 75-76-71. He placed 20th individually and continued his streak of having his score count in every round this season. Sophomore Nelson Hargrove, who just recently joined the Brown squad, was Brown's second leading scorer on round of 76-77-76—229.
Brown returns to action next weekend, April 21-22, for its final tune-up before the Ivy Championship, competing in the Century Classic, held at the Century Club in Westchester, NY.
