Nick Hartigan Named Ivy League Player of the Week

Brown junior runningback Nick Hartigan (Fairfax Station, MA) has been named the Ivy League's Player of the Week for his performance in Brown's 33-21 victory over Columbia on Saturday. Brown finished its season with a 6-4 overall record, and finished fourth in the Ivy standings with a 3-4 league mark.

Hartigan ran for 179 yards on 39 carries against the Lions and scored four touchdowns on three runs of one yard and a 10-yard run. He also established new Brown seasonal records for points (102) and touchdowns (17) in a season, while rushing for 1,263 yards, the second best in Brown football history. Hartigan broke both of his own records from a year ago.

Hartigan set a new school record for carries in a season with 323 carries, second most in Ivy League history. His 2,765 career yards are third in the Brown record book and 15th best in Ivy football history. Hartigan also led the Ivy League in rushing with 884 yards on 216 carries in league games.
