Head coach Phil Estes' Brown football team will be opening its 130th season of intercollegiate football on Saturday against Duquesne in the first ever meeting between the two teams. Estes is 6-3 lifetime in season-opening games. The Bears posted a 3-7 overall mark last year, losing its final three games by a total of just 10 points.

The Bears have had success in non-league games over the last 13 years, posting a 27-11 non-league record since 1994, including a 3-0 non-league mark in 1994, 1995, 1997, 1999, 2000, 2004 and 2005.

Duquesne opened its season on September 1 with a 28-19 home loss to Bucknell. Duquesne did not play last week.

Brown Football fans can now watch a live video and audio feed (WSKO-AM 790 The Score) of all home games through B2 Networks. All six home football games will be aired through Brown's athletic website . Fans wanting to watch Brown events via B2 Networks will need a high-speed Internet connection and a current version of Windows Media Player. Games will be sold on an individual basis at $6 per game or $30 for the season.

Brown opens its Ivy League season next Saturday, September 22 at Harvard in the 107th meeting between the two Ancient Eight Teams. It's the first night football game played at Harvard Stadium, and game time is 7:30 p.m.
