Former Brown wide receiver Sean Morey '99, a special teams standout for the Philadelphia Eagles, was named to Dr. Z's All-Pro Team in the December 29, 2003 issue of Sports Illustrated.
Selection to Dr. Z All-Pro Team is one of the most coveted awards in professional football, as named by Sports Illustrated's professional football writer, Paul Zimmerman.
"My special teams player is the Eagles' Sean Morey, who ranks first on the team in a Philadelphia grading system that takes into account blocks and tackles, among other statistics," wrote Zimmerman.
In the Eagles' system, Morey has 28 tackles, 76 blocks and has accumulated 294 points on special teams. His closest competitor has registered 204 points.
A two-time first team All-American at Brown, Morey caught 83 passes as a senior, second best in the nation. He finished his career as the third leading receiver in NCAA I-AA history with 3,850 receiving yards and 251 career receptions.
The 1997 Ivy League Player of the Year, Morey holds five Ivy League receiving records - single season receiving yards (1,434), career TD receptions (39), TD receptions in a season (15), career receptions (251), and career receiving yards (3,850). He competed in the Hula Bowl as a senior and is the first Brown athlete to ever have his number retired.
