Ithaca, NY - Sophomore tailback Nick Hartigan ran for 201 yards, including a 65 yard touchdown run, to lead Brown to a 21-7 Ivy League win over Cornell. The win lifts the Bears to 2-4 overall and 1-2 in the Ivy League, while Cornell falls to 1-5 overall and 0-3 in Ivy play.

Hartigan's touchdown run came on the first play of the second quarter and gave Brown a 7-0 lead. The Bears scored again in the second quarter when Brown quarterback Kyle Slager handed off to backup quarterback Nick Marietti, who spotted Jarrett Schreck in the end zone for an 11 yard touchdown pass, giving Brown a 13-0 lead.

Brown scored again early in the fourth quarter when Slager handed off to Hartigan, who threw it back to Slager, who then spotted an open Lonnie Hill in the end zone, completing a 17 yard scoring pass to lift the Bears to a 21-0 lead.

Cornell's lone touchdown with 3:26 remaining spoiled Brown's first shutout bid since 1987.

Junior outside linebacker Anjel Gutierrez led the Bears with 12 tackles, including two tackles for a loss of 13 yards. Senior Andrew Gallagher made 9 tackles and forced a fumble for the Bears.
