ITHACA, N.Y. (AP) - Kyle Rowley completed 22-of-34 attempts for 240 yards and three touchdowns to lead Brown to a 49-21 victory over Cornell on Saturday.
Rowley hit Chas Gessner for a 35-yard touchdown reception to open the scoring midway through the first quarter. Gessner, who caught two touchdown passes, had a game-high 113 receiving yards on nine catches.
Evan Simmons scored on a 1-yard run for Cornell (0-5, 0-3 Ivy League) in the second quarter, but Brown (3-2, 2-1) scored the next 25 points.
Travis Rowley caught a touchdown pass, and Hunter Young returned a fumble recovery 82 yards for a touchdown during a Brown Bears run that increased their lead to 35-7.
Big Red quarterback Ricky Rahne hit Nathan Archer with a 5-yard scoring pass to with 6:42 to play in the third quarter.
Jermiah Griffin returned a pass interception 24 yards for a Brown touchdown before Evan Simmons scored Cornell's final touchdown on a 2-yard run.
Brown's Joe Rackley rumbled 80 yards for the final touchdown with 4:46 to play.
Rahne, who completed 22-of-42 attempts for 226 yards, reached fourth place in the Ivy League passing record book with 6,886 career yards.
