Kyle Archer begins his second season as Brown's wide receivers coach and continues his second season as Brown's recruiting coordinator. Now a five-year member of the Brown staff, he began working as a defensive assistant in 2007.
In his first season with the wide-outs, Archer's wide receiver corps featured two first time All-Ivy players in 2010 - Alex Tounkara and Jimmy Saros.
A 2007 UConn graduate with an individualized bachelor’s
degree in coaching and administration, Archer was a walk-on
linebacker for the Huskies in 2003, and a student coach from
2004-2006. As a member of the coaching staff, Archer worked
with the defensive backs for two years and the linebackers for one
season.
A native of Milford, Mass., who played at Milford High School,
Archer comes from a football coaching family. His
grandfather, Bob Horan, coached at Harvard, Columbia and Colgate.
He currently resides in Providence, Rhode Island, with his wife
Lindsay.
