Providence, R.I. - Brown senior All-Ivy defensive end Richard "Dewey" Jarvis (Watertown, MA) has accepted an invitation to play in the 2018 Reese's Senior Bowl on Saturday, January 27, at Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile, Alabama. Kick-off is 1:30pm CST on the NFL Network.
The game will be coached by the staffs of the Houston Texans and Denver Broncos, with former Brown defensive tackle and Texans head coach Bill O'Brien '92 guiding the South Team and Broncos head coach Vance Joseph coaching the North Team.
The Senior Bowl is recognized as the most prestigious college football all-star game, dating back to 1950, with rosters that feature the nation's top senior collegiate football players and NFL draft prospects on teams representing the North and South. Every year, the Senior Bowl is one of the biggest landmarks of the pre-draft process, with top prospects getting a chance to prove themselves against strong competition from across the country.

A finalist for the Ivy League Defensive Player of the Year, Jarvis was a First Team All-Ivy, ECAC First Team All-Star and a First Team All-New England selection this past season.
The two-time First Team All-Ivy, All-New England and ECAC All-Star honoree, he led the Brown team with 69 total tackles, seventh best in the Ivy League. He ranked second in the Ivy League in sacks (eight) and tackles for loss (14.0). His 17.5 career quarterback sacks rank second in Brown football history.
Jarvis ranked first nationally with 0.6 forced fumbles per game. He had four quarterback sacks for a loss of 28 yards vs. Bryant, while forcing a fumble and making eight tackles. Jarvis had eight tackles vs. Harvard, 1.5 for a loss, including a safety in the end zone. He made 10 tackles and forced a fumble vs. Penn.
