Providence, R.I. - Brown senior tailback John Spooney (Northfield, OH), the Ivy League's top rusher in 2014, has been invited to the Baltimore Ravens Rookie Camp, and senior wide receiver Tellef Lundevall (Highland Park, IL) has earned a Rookie Camp invitation with the Tennessee Titans.
Spooney became one of the nation's premier runningback's in 2013, using his national-caliber speed to electrify crowds with breathtaking runs. Spooney, a first team All-Ivy and All-New England selection, ranked fifth in the nation and led the Ivy League in rushing with 130.0 yards per game, and became the seventh player in Brown history to rush for 1,000 or more yards in a single season. He rushed for 232 yards in Brown's win over Penn, 186 yards against Columbia and 166 yards against Dartmouth. His 1,170 rushing yards ranked fifth best in the Brown record book.
Lundevall finished his career as one of the top wide receivers in Ivy League history. His 216 career receptions are seventh in the Ivy record book, and fifth all-time at Brown, while his 2,349 career receiving yards are sixth in the Brown record book. Lundevall caught 61 passes for 745 yards in 2013, both fourth best in the Ivy League.
