Providence, RI - The Brown football team's annual Brown-White Spring Game featured strong defensive play and a tremendous comeback, as the White Team rallied from a 17-0 second half deficit to earn a 21-17 win over the Brown Team Saturday afternoon at Brown Stadium. Sophomore Chad Berry's 20-yard fumble recovery for a touchdown with 2:00 remaining proved to be the game-winning score.

The Brown team struck at the end of the first quarter when junior quarterback Marcus Fuller lofted a perfect 28-yards pass to junior tight end Alex Viox, who made a diving catch in the end zone, giving the Brown squad a 7-0 lead on the final play of the first quarter.

Sophomore Grant Senne booted a 31-yard field goal to lift the Brown team to a 10-0 advantage early in the second quarter.

Lightning struck when junior Andrew Hansen picked up a fumble by the punter and ran 40-yards for a touchdown to close out the first half scoring and give the Brown team a 17-0 advantage.

White Team sophomore quarterback Seth Rosenbauer mounted a furious second half comeback, throwing a touchdown pass of 40 yards to junior Brian Strachan, and another of nine yards to sophomore Andrew Coke to pull his team to within three points, 17-14.

Senior All-Ivy defensive end Michael Yules forced a Brown Team fumble that was picked up by Berry, who scampered 20 yards into the end zone for the game-winning touchdown with just two minutes remaining.

The White team's defense was led by sophomore defensive end Jacob Walther, who made five tackles, including three for a loss.
