Brown Football Team Hosts Third Annual Bench Press for Cancer on November 9th

Providence, Rhode Island - The Third Annual Bench Press for Cancer, hosted by the Brown University football team and sponsored by the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), will be held on Monday, November 9th at 12 Noon on the Wriston Green in front of the Ratty. Combining dedication to physical training and dedication to helping others, this event is a bench press contest in which all proceeds go directly to The American Cancer Society.

Participants acquire pledges who agree to donate a certain amount of money per repetition or as a flat sum. Last year, team members raised over $20,000 for the American Cancer Society, an amount they aim to beat in 2009.

To help support this event please contact the Brown football office to sponsor a Brown student-athlete who will be participating in the event. A student-athlete can be sponsored through per rep donations ($5 per rep for example) or flat donations. You can donate online or send checks.
