The 2009 Brown Football season ticket package is now on sale on BrownBearsTickets.com, featuring five (5) home games for the defending Ivy League champions at Historic Brown Stadium.
“We are extremely pleased about the schedule we have put together for our great fans” said Phil Estes, “there were a lot of exciting moments in Brown Stadium last year and it sets up to be more of the same in 2009.”
As an added bonus, season ticket prices for 2009 have been reduced. “We wanted to make Brown Football and all of Brown Athletics the most entertaining event in Rhode Island and at the same time, the most affordable,” said Michael Goldberger, Director of Athletics.
Coach Estes’ squad opens its Brown Stadium schedule with three home games in a three-week span. The Bears welcomes in-state rival URI to College Hill for homecoming and the annual battle for the Governor’s Cup (Oct. 3). Bruno then takes on non-conference opponent, Holy Cross (Oct. 10). The home-stand ends with a nationally televised game on Versus against Ivy League rival Princeton on family weekend (Oct. 17).
The Bears then return home for a Halloween afternoon match-up
against Penn (Oct. 31), and conclude their home schedule by playing
Dartmouth (Nov. 14). All home games are at 12:30.
