But that's not all - besides taking fifth with a 14:33.347, they also beat the Brown University alumni boat comprised of three former Olympians, Jamie Koven, Porter Collins and Ben Holbrook and one current national team member, Luke McGee. The alumni boat earned a seventh place finish with a 14:35.900.
Brown also competed in the Championship Fours and Youth Eights. In fours, head coach Paul Cooke sent out Sam Searle (Truro, Nova Scotia), James Rowan (Fairfax, VA), Matt Wheeler (Eugene, OR), Garret Kirk (Boston, MA) with sophomore coxswain Rob O'Leary (Fayetteville, NY). The crew came in 12th place with a time of 16:51.122. The Brown Youth Eights crew took sixth with a 15:41.541.
