Brown Men's Crew Sweeps Syracuse

Syracuse, NY - The Brown oarsmen got Paul Cooke's regime as head varsity coach off to a flying start Saturday by sweeping five races from Syracuse in freezing temperatures on Onondaga Lake.

Syroked by co-captain Erik Winters, one of three returning members of last year's varsity, the Bears sprinted to a six-seat lead off the start, settled down, and eventually won by a length and a half.
