Bears Travel Down College Hill To Face Providence

Coach Jesse Agel's Brown men's basketball team, winners of three of its last four games, will travel down College Hill into downtown Providence on Wednesday, December 3 to battle Providence College at the Dunkin Donuts Center, in the 114th meeting between the two schools.
Brown evened its record at 3-3 overall with a 53-51 come-from-behind win over Eastern Michigan on Saturday. Bears' sophomore forward Peter Sullivan scored 20 points, and junior center Matt Mullery scored nine points and grabbed a career high 13 rebounds. Senior guard Chris Skrelja just missed a double-double against the Eagles with nine points and nine rebounds.
Providence (4-3) is coming off an 81-75 loss to St. Mary's at the 76 Classic in Anaheim, California.
Brown and Providence have met 113 times, dating back to the 1921-1922 season, with the Friars holding an 87-26 series advantage. Last year, Providence came away with a 70-51 win over the Bears on 12/9/07 at the Dunkin Donuts Center. Brown's last win over Providence came two years ago on 11/18/06, defeating the Friars, 51-41.
