Head coach Jesse Agel and the Brown basketball team will host Army in a special Thanksgiving-eve game at the Pizzitola Sports Center, Wednesday, November 26, starting at 7:00 p.m. The Bears, coming off a win over Holy Cross and a close loss to Northwestern, are led by three double figure scorers, junior Matt Mullery with 15.3 points per game, and sophomores Adrian Williams (14.0 ppg.) and Peter Sullivan (13.8 ppg.).
Brown (1-3) is coming off a tough 73-64 loss to Northwestern on Saturday. Mullery led the Bears with 17 points and six rebounds, while Sullivan chipped in 16 points against the Wildcats.
Army fell to Princeton on Sunday, 55-43, to fall to 1-3 on the season. The Cadets have earned a win over Dartmouth, with losses to Quinnipiac and LIU.
Brown and Army have met 21 times, dating back to the 1920-1921 season, with the Cadets holding a 13-8 series advantage over the Bears. Brown earned a 79-78 victory over Army last year (1/2/08) at West Point. Army's last win over the Bears came in 2006-2007, 62-54, at the Pizzitola Sports Center.
