Brown (0-3) will be heading cross-town to the Dunkin Donuts Center to battle Providence College, looking for its first win of the season for head coach Craig Robinson. The Bears are comong off a 70-47 loss at Navy Tuesday evening in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. Junior forward Keenan Jeppesen scored 14 points to lead the Bears, while sophomore forward Scott Friske added 12 points. Providence opened its season on Tuesday evening with a 91-76 win over Fairleigh Dickinson.
Brown and Providence have met 111 times, dating back to the 1921-1922 season, with the Friars holding an 86-25 series advantage. The two teams did not meet last season. Providence had won the last three meetings, including a 79-63 decision on 1-5-05. Brown last defeated the Friars on 11/28/01, coming away with a 67-60 victory.
