Bears' head coach Craig Robinson will make his coaching debut against Michigan State on Wednesday, November 8 in East Lansing, Michigan at the 2K Sports Classic benefiting Coaches vs. Cancer.
Second round action at the 2K Sports Classic on Thursday (November 9) will pit the Bears against either Youngstown State or Central Michigan at either 4:30 p.m. or 7:00 p.m. at Michigan State's Breslin Center.
Two Brown players, junior Damon Huffman (Petoskey, MI) and sophomore forward Scott Friske (Charlevoix, MI), are Michigan natives and will have large cheering sections at the Coaches vs. 2K Sports Cancer Classic at Michigan State. Huffman played at Petoskey High School while Friske honed his skills at Charlevoix High School.
Robinson takes over the coaching reins at Brown following a six-year stint as an assistant coach at Northwestern. A 1983 graduate of Princeton, Robinson is considered one of the top players in Ivy League history, twice being honored as the Ivy League's Player of the Year.
