Mark McAndrew Named CoSIDA Academic All-American

Providence, Rhode Island - Brown University senior guard Mark McAndrew (Barrington, RI) dence, RIhas been recognized once again for his outstanding work in the classroom and on the hardwood, being named a CoSIDA ESPN The Magazine District I Academic All-American for the second consecutive season.

An economics concentrator at Brown, McAndrew is the second leading scorer in the Ivy League, averaging 16.2 points for the Bears. McAndrew, a two-time Ivy Player of the Week this season, is shooting 45 percent from the field (85 of 190), 9th best in the Ivy League, while his 5.1 rebounds per game are second on the Brown team and 10th in the league.

A first team All-Ivy selection last year, McAndrew has scored 914 career points at Brown, 22nd best in Brown basketball history. An excellent long-range threat, McAndrew's 143 career three-point baskets rank fifth in the Brown record book. He has started 47 consecutive games for Brown, including 18 of 18 games this season.

McAndrew was an Academic All-Ivy selection in 2007.
