Jan. 20, 2005

Providence, RI -

Brown's Record:

Brown extended its record to 7-7 overall with an 87-38 victory over Maryland Eastern Shore in its last outing on 1-14-05. Yale is 4-9 overall. Since the Ivy League was formed in 1954-1955, Brown teams have won seven or more non-league games just twice before, in 2001-02 (9) and 1966-67 (7). The 38 points allowed by the Bears against UMES are the fewest since limiting Dartmouth to 36 points in a 41-36 victory in 1982.

The Brown vs. Yale Series Record:

Brown and Yale have met 133 times, dating back to the 1904-1905 season, with the Elis holding an 89-44 series advantage. Coach Glen Miller's team, winners of six of the last seven games vs. Yale, swept both games from the Elis last season, winning 85-75 (ot) in New Haven, and 77-65 in Providence. Yale last win over Brown came in 2001-2002, when the Bulldogs defeated the Bears, 80-77 in Providence. Bears' coach Glen Miller is 7-3 lifetime against the Bulldogs.
