In its final tune-up before the start of the Ivy League season, Brown will host Bryant at the Pizzitola Sports Center on Saturday, January 10, facing the Bulldogs in their first season as a Division I team. The afternoon match-up begins at 4:00 p.m.
Brown opens its Ivy League season at home next Friday, January 16, hosting Yale at the Pizzitola Sports Center in a 7:00 p.m. start.
Brown is coming off a 74-50 loss to Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia, Tuesday evening to fall to 5-8 on the season. Sophomore Peter Sullivan, Brown's second leading scorer with 14.8 points per game, scored 14 points and pulled down six rebounds against the Cavaliers. Sophomore Adrian Williams, who earned Ivy Player of the Week honors this week, added 13 points for the Bears.
Bryant, playing its first season of Division I basketball, dropped a 76-61 decision to LIU on Wednesday, falling to 2-12 overall.
Brown and Bryant have met seven times before, dating back to 1985-1986, with the Bears holding a 7-0 series advantage. The two teams last met on 12/21/01, with the Bears earning an 86-80 victory at the Pizzitola Sports Center.
