Providence, RI - Sophomore guard Greg Sprink scored 31 of his career high 34 points in the second half to lead Navy to a 73-64 come-from-behind win over Brown at the Pizzitola Sports Center.
After leading 31-23 at the half, Brown built a 16 point second half lead, 48-32, on a three-point basket by sophomore Damon Huffman with 13:08 remaining.
The Midshipmen outscored the Bears 26-9 over the next eight minutes to take the lead for good, 58-57, with 5:47 left in the game on a free throw by Sprink, who scored 18 of Navy's 26 points in the spurt, mostly on long range three-point baskets.
Junior Marcus Becker led the Bears with a career high 20 points, connecting on 8 of 13 shooting from the field. He also handed-out a game high six assists. Sophomore Damon Huffman added 19 points for the Bears, while grabbing a team high five rebounds.
Spring connected on 9 of 11 treys for the game, including 8 of 10 shooting from behind the three-point arc in the second half. Senior Matt Fannin tossed in 18 points for the Midshipmen, hitting 10 of 14 free throws.
