Brown's Rally Falls Short, Bears Fall to Ohio, 75-71

Providence, Rhode Island - Senior guard Sonny Johnson scored 13 of his game-high 24 points in the second half to lead Ohio University to a 75-71 non-league victory over Brown at the Pizzitola Sports Center.
Brown rallied from a 45-27 half time deficit to tie the score, 62-62, on a lay-up by sophomore Jason Forte with 4:11 remaining in the game. The Bobcats took the lead for good, 63-62, on a free throw by junior Jaivon Harris with 4:07 remaining. Ohio led by as much as four points late in the game, 72-68, on a three-point play by Johnson.
With Brown trailing by three points, 74-71, Bears' junior Patrick Powers just missed on a three-point jumper that would have tied the game with four seconds remaining.
The Bears were lead by Powers, who scored 24 points, and senior Alai Nuualiitia, who netted 16 points on 6 of 6 shooting from the field. Forte registered a double-double with 12 points and 10 assists, while junior Jamie Kilburn added 12 points for Brown.
In addition to Johnson's 24 points, senior All-American Brandon Hunter scored 18 points and grabbed a game high 11 rebounds for the Bobcats.
