#25 Cornell Holds Off Brown, 74-60

25th-ranked Cornell had all it could handle with Brown, but closed with a 16-4 run in the game’s last seven minutes to earn a 74-60 Ivy League win over the Bears at Newman Arena. Bears’ senior center Matt Mullery led all scorers with 21 points and became the 23rd player in Brown basketball history to score 1,000 or more career points. His 1,000th point came on a lay-up with 12:55 left in the first half and gave the Bears an 18-16 lead. Mullery now has 1,015 career points for the Bears.

Columbia Rallies For 65-54 Win Over Brown
Sophomore Noruwa Agho scored 18 points and junior Asenso Ampim scored 11 of his 17 points in the second half, to rally Columbia to a 65-54 win over Brown Friday evening at Levien Gymnasium. The Bears were led by senior Matt Mullery, who netted 17 points and pulled down eight rebounds. Mullery now has 994 career points and will look to become the 23rd player in Brown basketball history to score 1,000 career points tomorrow evening at Cornell.

Matt Mullery Named To ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District Men's Basketball Team
Brown senior center Matt Mullery (Millstone, New Jersey) has been selected to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District men's basketball team. His name will now be placed on the national ballot for Academic All-America voting.

Bears Back In Action At Columbia and #25 Cornell
Brown's men's basketball team takes its first extensive Ivy road trip of the season, starting in New York City on Friday night (2/5) against Columbia, and Saturday evening (2/6) in Ithaca, New York, to face 25th ranked Cornell.
