


Matt Sullivan Named To CoSIDA Capital One Academic All-District Men's Basketball Team
February 3, 2012Brown University junior co-captain Matt Sullivan (Wilmette, IL) has been named to the Capital One Academic All-District Men's Basketball Team as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America. His name will now be placed on the national ballot for Academic All-America consideration.

Princeton Topples Brown, 77-63
Princeton utilized a first half three-point barrage to build a 14-point lead and cruise to a 77-63 Ivy League win over Brown at the Pizzitola Sports Center. Brown guard sophomore Sean McGonagill led all scorers with 17 points, while also adding six assists and five rebounds. The win lifts the Tigers to 11-9 overall, 2-2 in the Ivy League, while Brown falls to 7-15 overall, 1-4 in Ivy play.

Brown Hosts Princeton and Penn In Key Ivy Match-ups
Brown will cap off a five game Ivy League home stand against two of its longest standing rivals, Princeton and Penn. The Bears will host the Tigers on Friday night at the Pizzitola Sports Center, starting at 7:00 p.m., and the Quakers on Saturday at 6:00 p.m. Both games will be video streamed live on America One, and will also be available on live radio (WPRV-AM790), with audio over the internet at brownbears.com.

Andrew McCarthy Named Ivy League Player of the Week
Brown junior forward Andrew McCarthy (Sudbury, Mass.) was named the Ivy League Player of the Week after leading the Bears to wins in two of three games, and turning in a blockbuster performance against Dartmouth to give Brown its first Ivy win of the season.
