Bears Drop Two to Big Green

The Baseball team dropped two games to the Dartmouth Big Green today, Friday April 18th. Brown fell in game one 4-1 and then dropped a 6-5 decision to Dartmouth in game two. Junior Joel DeMaria (Santa Rosa, CA) pitched a complete game for the Bears and gave up one earned run.

Junior Bobby Deeb (West St. Paul, MN) and sophomore Jeff Nichols (Medford, NJ) both had two hits as freshman Cameron Johnson (Berkeley, CA) went 1-3 with a RBI.

Junior Sam Jennings pitched in seven innings for the Bears in game two and gave up just two runs. The Bears were down 4-2 in the eighth and came out to score three runs to go up 5-4 heading into the ninth. The Big Green then scored two unanswered runs and Brown fell 6-5.

Junior Matt Kutler (Omaha, NE) had two hits as did Deeb and Nichols. Sophomore Chris Jernigan went 2-4, he had a doble which batted a runner in.

The Bears will face the Big Green again in a doubleheader tomorrow, Saturday April 19th starting at 12:00 p.m.
