Jamie Grillo is in his second season as an assistant baseball coach at Brown University. He recently graduated from Brown in 2002 where he was one of the most successful pitchers in team history. Grillo's responsibilities this season include assisting the pitchers and outfielders as well as coaching first base. "Having a former player coach for us has been a big advantage in dealing with the team. He knows how to relate well to the players and he knows what the program is about," says Head Coach Marek Drabinski. Grillo finished his playing career ranked in the top ten of several career categories, including complete games, wins, innings pitched, and strikeouts. Grillo was also part of a group of 2002 graduates that finished with the most wins in any four-year period. Grillo, a native of Bellingham, Massachusetts, now resides in Providence.
