St. Lawrence Named Ivy League Baseball Co-Pitcher of the Week

PRINCETON, N.J. – Junior Dave St. Lawrence (Thompson, Conn.) of the Brown University baseball team has been named the Ivy League Co-Pitcher of the Week, announced by the league office Tuesday afternoon.

St. Lawrence went the distance in a 1-0 win at Harvard on Saturday. The right-hander picked up his first win of the season, limiting the Crimson to just four hits as he went all seven innings on the mound for the shutout victory. He was in control throughout the entire game, with no walks and no more than one hit allowed in any inning.

St. Lawrence is the second Bear to be named Pitcher of the Week in 2014, joining Christian Taugner (March 11). It's the first time Brown has received two such honors in the same season since 2012 (Matt Kimball and Anthony Galan).
