Brown Baseball to Host 2013 Hot Stove Dinner
PROVIDENCE, RHODE ISLAND – The Brown men's baseball team will host its 2013 Baseball Hot Stove Dinner on Friday, February 8 at the Brown Faculty Club in Providence, Rhode Island. The event is scheduled to begin at 6:00pm, and both the coaching staff and players look forward to honoring those who have helped build the program.
Dan Kantrovitz '01, the Director of Amateur Scouting with the St. Louis Cardinals, and Todd Carey '93, who played for the Red Sox organization and is a member of the Brown Athletics Hall of Fame, will serve as keynote speakers. A silent auction will also be held throughout the evening, with all proceeds going directly to support the team. Tickets are still available for the event and can be purchased for $50. The Bears are scheduled to open the 2013 season on Friday, March 1 with an 8:00pm game against the LSU Tigers in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
