Mike DiBiase '12 Named to NEIBA All-New England Team
Providence, RI - Sophomore designated hitter Mike DiBiase has earned a spot on the NEIBA All-England Second Team, recognizing the outstanding individual 2010 season he had for Brown. DiBiase will join other top players from around the region in the NEIBA All-Star Game, to be played at Fenway Park on Sunday, June 6, at 3:00 p.m.
DiBiase, a First Team All-Ivy selection this year, showed terrific improvement in his second season in a Brown uniform, earning a regular spot in the batting order as a first baseman and designated hitter. The sophomore finished fifth on the team in average, hitting .326 for the year, and added eight home runs, good for third on the team. DiBiase was also second among Brown players with 12 doubles, and scored 27 runs while bringing in 34. He also drew an impressive 22 walks to push his on base percentage to .435, and recorded a second consecutive season without making an error, notching a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage.
