Troy, AL - The Bears wrapped up a four-game series with Troy University on Monday evening, as the Trojans completed a series sweep with a 26-3 win over the Bears. Troy's offense was rolling from the beginning of the contest, scoring seven runs in the first inning, and the Trojans continued the onslaught throughout, crossing the plate at least once in every frame.
Troy jumped out to a 24-0 lead through seven innings, as the Trojans were clicking in all facets of the game. However, Brown did get on the board in the late going, scoring once in the eighth and adding another pair of runs in the final inning. Joe Mellano, Jon Suzich, and John Sheridan each tallied an RBI for the Bears, as Brown pulled the final score to 26-3.
Brown will be back in action on Tuesday afternoon, when the Bears kick off a two-game series against the University of New Orleans.
