Pete Greskoff Named NEIBA All-Star

Providence, R.I. - Sophomore Pete Greskoff (Paoli, PA) was named to the New England Intercollegiate Baseball Association All-Star Team recently, as his terrific 2009 season was recognized with a spot as the designated hitter. Greskoff will join 24 other players from the University Division on Thursday, when they take on the College Division in the 35th Annual All-Star Game.

Greskoff enjoyed a breakout season in 2009, batting .339 and tying for the team lead with 11 home runs. He also had a team-high .679 slugging percentage, and was second on the squad with 36 RBI's. Though primarily a DH, Greskoff performed well when asked to play the field, making just a single error for a .987 fielding percentage.

The game will be played on Thursday, June 4 at Campanelli Stadium in Brockton, Massachusetts at 7:00 p.m. The rain date for the game is Friday, June 5.
