Men's Swimming & Diving Takes First In Nine Events To Defeat Dartmouth and Navy

PROVIDENCE, RI - The Brown men's swimming and diving team opened the 2001-2002 season with two victories, 130-94 over Navy and 136-87 over Dartmouth. Brown won the first nine events, before swimming exhibition for the final two events of the day.

Leading the way for the Bears was sophomore Jefferson Moors (Novi, MI) and senior Mike Peters (New Rochelle, NY), who each grabbed first place in two events. In addition, freshman Tim Wang (South Pasadena, CA) took one first and one second place finish, as did junior Jeff Miksis (Cherry Hill, NJ), while senior Jason Weber (Thousand Oaks, CA) grabbed second place in two events.

The Bears continue action tomorrow, Sunday, November 18, when they host Princeton in a 12:00 p.m. meet.
