Women's Swimming and Diving Falls to North Carolina, 175-125

The women's swimming and diving team opened the second half of the 2001-2002 season with a 175-125 loss at North Carolina, ending their winter training trip. The Bears are now 2-2 on the season.
Brown was led by sophomore Elizabeth Daniels (Pittsburgh, PA) and senior Judy Koonstra (Uxbridge, ONT). Daniels was a part of three Brown victories, while Koonstra had her hand in two. The duo was part of the winning 200 medley relay team (1:46.49), which also consisted of sophomore Lindsay Hoban (Duxbury, MA) and junior Laura Mosca (Charlottesville, VA).
Daniels was also a part of the winning 200 free relay team (1:35.94), which also consisted of sophomore Emily McCoy (Anchorage, AK), junior Inbal Hasbani (Wilmette, IL), and senior Dawn Chuck (Kingston, Jamaica).
Individually, Daniels won with 50 free in a time of :23.89, while Koonstra won the 100 fly in a time of :57.16.
The Bears continue action when they host Penn on Sunday, January 27, at 12:00 noon in an Ivy meet.
