Bears Close Weekend, Finishing Third in Giant Slalom

WATERVILLE VALLEY, NH - The Brown women's ski team closed out the weekend with a third place finish at the Giant Slalom, on day two of the Plymouth State Carnival. Freshman Kia Mosenthal (Plymouth, NH) who placed third in Saturday's Slalom, once again led the Bears, earning a second place finish with a total time of 2:05.21. Following the weekend, the Bears remain in fourth place in the season standings with a total of 25 points, seven behind second place.

In addition to Mosenthal taking second place, sophomore Krista Consiglio (Bethany, CT) and freshman Emily Simmons (Buffalo, NY) were also in the top-15, as Consiglio finished in 10th with a two-run time of 2:08.69 and Simmons tied for 12th with a two-run time of 2:08.98.

Rounding out Brown's top five, were sophomore Blaine Martin (Salt Lake City, UT) in 29th with a total time of 2:11.64 and junior Elisa Handbury (Sydney, Australia) in 36th with a total time of 2:15.40.
